Join us on August 26th in celebration of National Dog Day as we honor man’s best friend. All three restaurants of the Aielli Group (Barbatella, Dorona and Sea Salt) will donate 10% of sales that day to the Humane Society Naples. All dog owners are more than welcome to bring their dog and dine on our “wagtacular” outdoor patios.

Steak & Poutine Cooking Class at Dorona

Dorona will be hosting a cooking class event on August 10th at 11:30am. Executive Chef Fabio and his culinary team will showcase a three course menu and reveal techniques on how to prepare a traditional French – Canadian dish: The Poutine

Theme of this class will be: Steak & Poutine

Menu:

1st Course:

Caesar | Romaine | Shaved Parmesan | Black Garlic | Roasted Tomato Crouton | Caesar Dressing | Anchovy

Main Course:

New York Strip | French Fries | Poutine | Mozzarella Curds

Dessert:

Frozen Raspberry Cheesecake Popsicle

$45 per person includes the demonstration, lunch and a glass of Prosecco

Theme: Secrets of Seafood – The lighter approach to Summer

Executive chef Fabio will showcase a Red beet cured hamachi crudo as well as how to achieve the prefect sear on a scallop.

The following menu will be served:

1st Course:

Hamachi crudo
Jalapeno, heirloom tomatoes, mustard “caviar” yuzo vinaigrette

Main Course:

Seared u10 scallop, corn salsa, kimchee butter sauce, potato croccantini

Dessert:

Key Lime Semifreddo

National Mac & Cheese Day at Dorona

For National Mac & Cheese Day we wanted to get creative and offer our guests something different. Therefore we decided to create the following twist on the usual Mac & Cheese:

Comté Cheese & Torchio Mac with Duck Confit
Small Order $12
Entree $18.95

The Comté cheese is a French cheese which goes through rigorous evaluation before it gets released to the public. It has a unique flavor, mild and slightly sweet, which goes really well with the Duck confit we will be adding to the dish.

On a site note: Comté is made from unpasteurized cow’s milk in the Franche-Comté traditional province of eastern France. Only milk from Montbéliarde or French Simmental cows (or cross breeds of the two) is permitted for the production of the Comté cheese.
